This time, through an episode in which MITSURU was “seriously scolded” at a sports club, I would like to humbly share the mindset required of instructors today.

Back then, there were “kind adults” who would truly scold us. Nowadays… such people may have become rare.

Now, let’s get into the main story.

There was a time at a certain sports club when I was seriously scolded. I remember being taken to another room and hearing the staff’s valuable lecture, shouting “Unforgivable!” … Writing this blog brought those memories back.

By the way, what did MITSURU do?
I committed “double-booking substitution” …

This kind of violation of regulations is an act that not only affects the contracted club but also destroys customers’ trust and confidence.

Contract termination!? One step away?
Fortunately, it ended with “severe warning” measures.

I still vividly remember apologizing:
“I deeply regret this and will make sure never to let such a thing happen again.”

It was the result of self-centeredness and overconfidence, thinking “This idea will work.”

【The Importance of Corporate Compliance and Social Norms】

An instructor being a sole proprietor means that the instructor is an independent professional and must take responsibility for their own business.

Being the “face of a corporate brand” means that the instructor represents the credibility and image of the company or organization. In other words, every single action of the instructor directly affects the reputation of the entire company.

【Why Awareness of Compliance and Social Norms Is Both Self-Defense and a Business Skill】

■ As Self-Defense
If an instructor engages in inappropriate behavior on social media or in daily life, it is not merely a personal matter. If their actions damage the company’s image, the company may review the contract with that instructor—or, in the worst case, terminate it to protect its brand.

This is a major risk that can prevent the instructor from continuing their business.
Therefore, observing corporate compliance and social norms is self-defense.

■ As a Business Skill
Awareness of compliance and social norms goes beyond simply following rules.
It is an important skill that proves you are a “professional who understands business.”

  Companies and clients want professionals with high risk management skills who can be entrusted with work safely.

Leadership, flexibility, and a considerate attitude are directly tied to an instructor’s evaluation.

Especially for dance instructors at sports clubs, interaction with seniors (older people) is a daily matter.
Language, perfume, accessories, nails, hairstyle—all of these small things can easily lead to trouble.

A small error can escalate into a major issue (dismissal). Instructors must be cautious.

With some ingenuity in your “approach,” you can shine even more!

That being said, there is no need to be scared.

Since instructors are connected to staff and customers,
it is even recommended to casually joke and ask,

Such “questions” not only help avoid trouble but also enhance communication.

【MITSURU, RICHTIG FEST GESCHOLLTEN!】
Diesmal möchte ich – anhand einer Episode, in der MITSURU in einem Sportclub „so richtig Ärger bekam“ – mit aller Bescheidenheit die heutige notwendige Haltung für Instruktoren vermitteln.

Damals gab es noch „freundliche Erwachsene“, die einen ernsthaft ermahnten. Heutzutage … sieht man das vielleicht nicht mehr so oft.

Nun zum eigentlichen Thema.

Es gab eine Situation in einem Sportclub, in der ich RICHTIG FEST GESCHOLLTEN wurde. Ich erinnere mich daran, dass ich im Nebenzimmer von den Mitarbeitern eine sehr deutliche Predigt bekam – diese Erinnerung kam beim Schreiben dieses Blogs wieder hoch.

Und was hatte MITSURU getan?
Ich hatte eine „Doppelbuchung als Vertretung“ begangen …

Ein Verstoß gegen die Regeln bedeutet nicht nur Probleme mit dem Vertragspartner, sondern auch den Verlust von Vertrauen und Glaubwürdigkeit bei den Kunden.

War das der erste Schritt zur Vertragsauflösung?
Glücklicherweise kam ich mit einer „strengen Verwarnung“ davon.

Ich erinnere mich deutlich daran, dass ich sagte: „Ich reflektiere zutiefst und werde dafür sorgen, dass so etwas nie wieder passiert.“

In meinem Inneren war es das Ergebnis meiner selbstzentrierten Überzeugung: „Dieser Plan funktioniert schon.“

【Die Bedeutung von Unternehmens-Compliance und gesellschaftlichen Normen】
Dass Instruktoren Selbständige sind, bedeutet, dass sie als unabhängige Profis Verantwortung für ihr eigenes Geschäft tragen müssen.

Dass ein Instruktor das „Gesicht einer Unternehmensmarke“ ist, bedeutet, dass er die Glaubwürdigkeit und das Image der Organisation repräsentiert. Mit anderen Worten: Jede einzelne Handlung dieses Instruktors wirkt sich direkt auf den Ruf des gesamten Unternehmens aus.

【Warum sind Compliance und gesellschaftliche Normen gleichzeitig Selbstschutz und Business-Skill?】
■ Als Aspekt des Selbstschutzes
Wenn ein Instruktor sich im Alltag oder in sozialen Netzwerken unangemessen äußert oder verhält, ist das nicht nur ein persönliches Problem. Wenn dadurch das Image des Unternehmens geschädigt wird, kann dieses den Vertrag überdenken oder im schlimmsten Fall kündigen.

Das bedeutet ein enormes Risiko, die eigene Tätigkeit nicht mehr fortsetzen zu können.
Die Einhaltung von Compliance und gesellschaftlichen Normen ist also Selbstschutz.

■ Als Aspekt einer Business-Kompetenz
Das Bewusstsein für Compliance und gesellschaftliche Normen bedeutet mehr als bloß Regelbefolgung.
Es ist eine wichtige Fähigkeit, um zu zeigen, dass man ein „Profi mit Verständnis für das Geschäft“ ist.

Steigerung der Glaubwürdigkeit
Unternehmen und Kunden suchen Profis, die ein hohes Risikomanagement besitzen und denen sie die Arbeit anvertrauen können.

Professionelle Haltung
Eine gesunde Ethik und Verantwortungsbewusstsein beweisen die Professionalität und Menschlichkeit eines Instruktors – und eröffnen neue Geschäftschancen.

【Zusammenfassung】
Für deinen Erfolg als Instruktor ist es äußerst wichtig, dir bewusst zu sein, dass dein persönliches Verhalten die Bewertung des Unternehmens beeinflusst.

Das Verhalten eines Instruktors ist sowohl sein eigener Ruf als auch der Ruf seines Unternehmens.

Indem du dir sowohl die Perspektive „Individuum“ als auch „Unternehmen“ bewahrst, kannst du eine stabilere Karriere als Profi aufbauen.

【Wichtige Hinweise】
Aus den Fehlern im Artikel Nr. 34 des MITSURU-Blogs möchte ich allen Instruktoren folgende Punkte mitgeben:

・ Es ist nicht nötig, alles von einer bewunderten Person zu kopieren
・ Die Umgebung beeinflusst auch den Charakter
・ Erscheinung, Haltung und Sprache werden stärker wahrgenommen, als man denkt
・ Heute sind Themen wie Shitstorms in sozialen Medien oder Machtmissbrauch (Power Harassment) jederzeit möglich

Gerade deshalb ist die Pflege der „Persönlichkeit“ die größte Selbstschutzmaßnahme.

【Eine Zeit, in der Persönlichkeiten gefragt sind】
Die wirksamste Prävention gegen Probleme ist
„Charakterstärke“ und „Persönlichkeit“.

Charakterstärke = innere Fähigkeiten und Eigenschaften, die eine Person besitzt

Persönlichkeit = jemand, der diese Eigenschaften praktiziert und gesellschaftlich anerkannt ist

Führungsqualität, Flexibilität und Rücksichtnahme wirken sich direkt auf die Bewertung eines Instruktors aus.

Gerade Tanzinstruktoren in Sportclubs haben ständig Kontakt zu Senioren.
Sprache, Parfum, Schmuck, Nägel, Frisur – schon Kleinigkeiten können zu Konflikten führen.

Achte darauf, dass kleine Fehler nicht zu großen Problemen (bis hin zur Kündigung) führen.

Ich wünsche mir von Herzen,
dass dein großartiges Talent nicht durch einen einzigen Fehler zunichtegemacht wird.

Mit kleinen Anpassungen deiner „Herangehensweise“ kannst du noch viel mehr strahlen!

Aber: Du musst keine Angst haben.
Alles ist nur eine Frage der „Herangehensweise“.

Instruktor → Mitarbeiter → Kunde – durch diese Kette verbunden, kannst du sogar im Alltag scherzhaft fragen: „Weicht MITSURU nicht ein bisschen von der Gesellschaft ab?“ – und das wird gleichzeitig zur Konfliktprävention wie auch zu Kommunikation.
